For the monthly cohort, unitholders of record on October 1 will receive cash on October 8 that timing matches Mackenzie’s published distribution schedule for 2025, which shows a September 24 declaration, October 1 record, and October 8 payment for monthly payers.

The company’s quarterly schedule, which applies to select allocation and equity index products, shows a September 15 declaration, a September 22 record date, and a September 29 payment for the September cycle.

The declaration was made on September 24, aligning with the firm’s 2025 calendar for recurring ETF distributions.

The dates matter for investors who plan around ex-dividend timing, yield capture, and month end cash management.

Cash typically lands in brokerage accounts on the payment date, or it is reinvested through a distribution reinvestment plan if one is enabled.

Mackenzie provides the tax character of each distribution after the fact, which can include interest, eligible dividends, capital gains, or return of capital depending on the mandate.

Income oriented ETFs have been a steady draw in Canada this year as policy rates stay elevated relative to much of the last decade.

Monthly pay bond strategies can serve as a cash flow engine in registered and taxable accounts, while quarterly equity funds tend to reflect the dividend seasons of their underlying markets.

The per unit amount can move up or down from month to month as portfolio income fluctuates, especially for strategies with floating rate exposure or funds that write options.
