Effective date: August 16, 2025
This page explains important limitations that apply to the journalism, data tools, and research you find on The Learning Bull. Please read it carefully. By using our site, newsletters, or any related product, you accept the terms below as well as our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. No financial, legal, or tax advice
Everything we publish is for education and general information. It is not investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or retirement planning tailored to your situation.
The Learning Bull does not act as your advisor or as a dealer. Decisions about buying, selling, or holding securities are yours. Consider speaking with a registered advisor before acting on information you find here.
2. Educational purpose only
Articles, charts, screeners, calculators, and model portfolios are teaching tools. They help you understand concepts and compare options. They are not personalized recommendations or a roadmap for your specific goals.
3. Accuracy and timeliness
We aim for accuracy and clarity. Markets move and filings change. Information can be delayed, incomplete, or revised by issuers, exchanges, regulators, or vendors. We provide content “as available.”
We do not promise that it will always be correct, complete, or current. If you spot a material error, email corrections@learningbull.ca with the link and details so we can review.
4. Market data and methodologies
Quotes, fundamentals, and indices may originate from third parties or public sources. Methodology notes appear on features that rely on rules or formulas.
If a vendor updates a dataset or restates history, figures may change without prior notice. Use data as one input among many. Do not rely on a single metric to make a decision.
5. Forward looking statements and price predictions
Any statements about the future are uncertain. That includes projections, scenarios, targets, and price predictions. They depend on assumptions that may prove wrong.
Events outside anyone’s control can change outcomes quickly. Do not assume that forward looking statements will occur.
6. Expert views and opinion pieces
We publish analysis and opinion. These pieces reflect the author’s interpretation at the time of writing. They do not represent a universal truth or the view of every editor. Authors may change their minds as facts change. Disclosures appear when relevant.
7. Hypothetical examples and backtests
Hypothetical returns, historical simulations, and model allocations are illustrative. They often exclude transaction costs, slippage, taxes, and liquidity constraints unless stated. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You can lose money, including principal.
8. Risk factors
Investing involves risk. Prices can be volatile. Dividends can be cut. Issuers can miss guidance or change strategy. Interest rates and currencies can move against you. Leverage magnifies losses. Options, futures, and other derivatives are complex and can result in a total loss. Crypto assets carry additional risks including regulatory changes, custody failures, and extreme volatility.
9. Non endorsement
Mentions of companies, funds, exchanges, products, educators, or service providers are for context. They are not endorsements. Links to third party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or policies.
10. Affiliate disclosure
Some pages include links to products or services. If you click and take an action such as opening an account, we may receive a referral fee. When compensation exists, we label it clearly(Affiliate disclosure). Editorial decisions remain independent. Partners do not influence our conclusions.
11. Sponsored and native content
We accept sponsorships and publish clearly labeled sponsored content. Sponsorship does not grant control over our newsroom. Labels appear at the top of the page and in the byline area.
12. No offer or solicitation
Nothing on our site is an offer to buy or sell any security or financial instrument. Nothing is a solicitation to participate in any strategy or service. Offers are made only by official offering documents that meet regulatory requirements.
13. No fiduciary relationship
Using our site does not create a client, advisor, or fiduciary relationship with The Learning Bull or with any writer, editor, or contributor.
14. Regional considerations
We publish with a Canadian focus. Rules differ by province and by country. Not all products or strategies are available in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you. Québec residents may have additional rights under Law 25.
15. Tools, calculators, and screeners
Outputs from tools depend on what you enter and on the data available at that moment. Small changes in inputs can produce different results. Treat outputs as starting points for your own research. Always confirm numbers with primary sources such as regulatory filings.
16. Data security and transmission
We protect data with reasonable safeguards. The internet is not perfectly secure. You accept the risks of transmitting information to and from our services. See our Security section in Policies and Legal and our Privacy Policy for details.
17. No obligation to update
We may update, correct, or retire content at any time. We are not obligated to update an older article solely because facts have changed. When a material correction is required, we add a note and time stamp to the story and to our public Corrections Log.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Learning Bull and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. That includes lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, and business interruption.
If liability is found, it will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service at issue during the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits. In those places, limits apply to the maximum allowed by law.
19. Intellectual property
Articles, graphics, data compilations, software, and trademarks on our services belong to The Learning Bull or to our licensors.
You may print reasonable copies for personal use. Any other use requires written permission. See Reprints and Permissions for the process.
20. Changes to this disclaimer
We will revise this page when practices or laws change. The effective date at the top shows when the latest version took effect. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated terms.
